Robots teaching kids?
Most kids just go to school to learn or in some cases, learn at home. But have you ever heard of a robot teaching? Well scientist came up with a way for children who are too sick to go to school and learn, to still be able to get an education. A young kid who is diagnosed with Leukemia can't leave home because of their weak immune system, but with help of a robot, can have school now. It's called the R.BOT 100, and can makes it possible for a teacher to teach things like geography, math ecetera to a sick kid. It costs about 3,000, is equipped with a web cam and mic so that he can interact with other classmate online. It will sit in the classroom and you can control it [like turning the head etc].

WOW!!! Personally, in my opinion I toottaalllyyy give massive props to technology today and the people who are working on it everyday! I think this could be one of the best inventions ever! No kid should be denied an education because they literally can't go to school. It gives them a way to go to school without the danger of them going. Not to mention how happy it must have made the kids who miss being able to go to school everyday. Considering, it's not that expensive and it has a battery life of 10 hours!! This is definatly a ood breakthrough in technology! But it also makes me wonder if people who don't really need it, will get one just so they don't have to go to school. Because let's face it lol that's how kids think. But for the purpose it was actually made for KUDOS!!! Keep up the good work this is amazing and world changing. I thought this was a really interesting article. Don't you?=]
Katie-This is interesting. I think it's perfect for disabled children. You are right-no one should be denied an education.
ReplyDeleteI too think other kids who don't need it would try. :0
I also think something like this may be good for prisons where it is hard to recruit teachers.
